Lagoon Cruises open to everyone!

The BEPI project, “Electric Italian Boat For All “, represents an opportunity to integrate the tourist cultural offer of Venice with an innovative navigation experience in the lagoon, also aimed at small groups of people who are somehow limited in mobility.The Project, which is part of the E-Regatta event – was presented at the E-Village in the Venice Boat Show, June 2021, in the extraordinary setting of the Arsenale.
The Committee that organizes the first regatta in the world for electric boats, composed of Assonautica Venezia, Associazione Motonautica Veneziana, Inland Waterways International (IWI), Triumph International, Venice Agenda 2028, Venti di Cultura, has decided to launch a fundraising campaign for the BEPI project, entrusted to the latter association.

Venti di Cultura, which for years has been dealing with cultural cabotage in the lagoon, follows the construction of the Electric Boat For All, designed and built by a group of Venetian professionals and companies.
BEPI overturns the conventional approach to the issue of accessibility, in fact not only architectural barriers will be removed, but also psychological ones.The buildable project, which will go into the water for the next season, will be accessible without complicated and expensive devices, putting all the guests on the same floor.
The innovative and asymmetrical design will allow assisted access for everyone, both from floating docks and from the Venetian banks. Furthermore, the multihull configuration and the electric motorization will reduce waves and pollution. The openable cover and the large living area will allow the easy and pleasant transport of people and wheelchairs.
